News updates...

We had a wonderful year, learned a ton, made some swords, made it through Halloween, Ojai Pyrate fare, The Pirate tree at the museum, Cookies at the clock tower, Lamplight tours, foam sword fights with the kids, Kidsfest 2007.....whew! What a year...

The guild has shifted a bit..

Were on to hand sewing.

Period correct shoes(phasing out the boots)

We finally have an Anvil, but need help making the forge.

We have aquired a few new weapons, long guns and such.

Christopher and myself are currently working on longboat plans.

Still waiting for an invitaion from the schools to teach early 18th century nautical life and history.

Membership is still very open and were always looking for a few good sailors. We are growing and if you're interested in Pyracy, sailing, or just for the love of Rum....please contact us...

New and Updates!

Wow! We need an update....

A few new members have joined, we have our own colors to fly and everyone thinks were nuts! Thats alright, I agree, I think we are nuts...
Were working on our first Cannon purchases and for those of you in the guild who want pistols, I found a supplier in India that makes some really nice period Flintlocks and we can get them at cost. The Cannons we won't be so lucky! Chris and I will be working on live action swords and they should be ready by mid June. Were trying a simple cutlass and a nice hanger to start. These things are balanced and beefy, so we'll need to be careful at fairs when sword fighting, these things will break swords in two...so we'll need to make sure not to clash any swords that can't withstand the impact (ie: Windlass, Denix and other self proclaimed quality sword makers) or someone will get hurt. Thats it for now!
